The flavour-packed mix of Canadian oysters, cheese, seasonings and bread crumb topping is equally at home at a sophisticated soiree as it is with the gang watching the game on TV.
Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
Place shucked oysters on a parchment-lined baking sheet; set aside.
In a small frying pan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent; about 5–6 minutes.
Spoon mixture on top of oysters. Combine breadcrumbs with butter and sprinkle onto each oyster.
Bake at 350°F (177°C) for 10–12 minutes or until the tops are golden.
Serve with lemon wedges.
